Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Dining at Limu was extraordinary in every possible way. With only three tables, the restaurant feels like a private dining room — intimate, serene, and perfectly curated. Every detail, from the lighting and table setting to the quiet precision of the service, reflects genuine artistry and care. The food was simply stunning: each course a composition of unexpected flavors, textures, and colors that delighted the senses and told a clear story of Sicilian creativity and refinement. The 100% Limu Summer Edition tasting menu was perfectly balanced — elegant yet full of character. We paired the dishes with an excellent Pietradolce Etna Bianco, which complemented the menu beautifully and showcased the depth of local terroir. An evening at LIMU is not just dinner — it’s a sensory journey that blends intimacy, innovation, and true hospitality. Absolutely unforgettable."
"Like you, I’ve been to many many restaurants. This one demonstrates what a great restaurant should be. The food is astonishingly good. The service is on similar level. Chef Nino Ferreri had short chat with us at the end of the evening. Remarkable experience which some day can bring 2 stars from Michelin."
"Limu start to finish was great experience. We had the full menu and we personally found it to be too much volume wise to be comfortable afterwards so I would perhaps recommend the shorter menu for those wishing to go who don’t want to overeat. Maybe that’s something for the chef to also consider that the autumn menu is great but offering a 7 course option for those who want the experience but can’t eat 11 of those courses. We stayed in Palermo so the restaurant arranged transport back at a price comparable to uber black (thank you so much). There isn’t much to see in the town - we thought there was so arrived a few hours early - I personally would recommend that - just go straight there."
"Dining at Limu in Sicily isn’t food — it’s art. Calling this place “culinary” is like calling the Sistine Chapel “just a ceiling.” The chef, the sommelier, and the entire team work like Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael — every plate, every wine, every detail is a masterpiece. The Welcome: From the very start, we were honored: the chef himself, together with his friend the sommelier, personally greeted us at the entrance. That personal touch set the tone — this wasn’t going to be just a dinner, but a journey. The Menu & Wine Pairings: We went all in with the full tasting menu and wine pairings — and it was unforgettable. Each course was a canvas of creativity and Sicilian tradition, elevated by the best wine pairings we’ve ever had at any Michelin restaurant. We loved them so much, we even bought three bottles to bring home. The Team: The team deserves standing ovations. The sommelier not only paired wines but also personally served dishes with elegance, working seamlessly with the charming runner (what a delightful guy!) and the wonderfully attentive lady waitress. Together, they weren’t just serving food — they were performing art. The Kitchen Visit: We were even invited into the kitchen, where we told the team directly: “You deserve the applause. We are just the lucky guests — you are the true artists in front of the meals.” That moment summed it all up — this is a place where passion and talent shine brighter than any star rating. The Verdict: Michelin says one star, but that’s fake news. Limu is at least two stars, maybe three. If you want not just dinner but an unforgettable artistic experience, Limu is where Sicily shows its soul."
"This is a solid one star Michelin experience. The experience began on the terrace but we didn’t stay long there because of the heat and humidity. The restaurant itself is cozy and elegant. The majority of tables are on the second floor where you have to go up a steep set of stairs. If you have mobility issues definitely let the restaurant know so that they can give you a table on the lower floor. The food was good. We enjoyed the starters and the last dessert courses the most along with the shell salad (I hear the sea inside the shell)."
"Fantastic! All of the dinner experience was wonderful. We had ordered the testing menu with wine pairing and it was all delightful. The sommelier was extremely helpful and experienced. The wine selection paired for each dish was carefully made. Chef Nino Ferreri and his staff deserve to be praised for their fantastic work."
"What an AMAZING place for high-class kitchen and here you do not get food only, you will love the so called „experience“ in a very nice environment. Some of the courses are great, some makes you speechless. How tasty it can get when someone put love in the dishes, this is the experience here! Loved it!"
"Honestly amazing. Couldn't fault a thing. Just a side note. They organised our car back but we don't carry cash or a bank card so that was just a slight challenge. Use an uber or taxi. Other than that its a true little gem."
